white river wilderness
I am a proud Colorado native-born and raised in a small town due north of Steamboat Springs - the mountains, and wilderness area-thats my natural habitat!
So when my wildly talented event planner ‘frendor’ invited me to do a fall styled shoot in White River Nat’l Forrest-Solid YES!
Cassidy with www.cassidyandcoevents.com/ is a super fun gal to work with, with vibrant energy and flawless taste!
So up Buford Road in New Castle, Colorado to the top of the flattops wilderness we went. Truck packed full with a tepee, gorgeous flowers and linens, table decor. Elk antlers, and cow hides, cupcakes…..and Skelley West custom letterpress stationery with day of paper goods.
This project was a dream-Cassidy gave me direction for her vision, but also total creative freedom. We decided on a super thick cotton textured paper, with blind press pampas grass imagery, touches of gold foil, gold vellum, and elements of handmade paper- made by yours truly with pampas grass fibers from my home garden!
What a day we had, there were so many beautiful goods and services by so many gracious local vendors, that Cassidy beautifully coordinated.
As a creative- if you ever get the chance to work with your peers on a styled shoot- I would 100% recommend it. Working as a team always brings out your best - collaborate, communicate, run with an idea you may not have stumbled upon on your own. As wedding vendors we work hard to build rapport with other vendors and ultimately strive to work perfectly in tandem with each other-to create the best experiences possible for our clients. Clients often see us in the heat of their moments, but the work we put into building our knoweldge and expertise behind the scenes, is ultimately what creates the best memories for those we work with.
